Steve Dixon's Story
Sky TV presenter Steve Dixon was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when he was 17 years old, mid-way through his A-levels. Now 34, he has achieved a successful career as a news presenter, and is a big advocate on the importance of self-management to carefully monitor his diabetes.
Katherine's Story
Climbing Kilimanjaro was something I had always wanted to do. At 5,895m, it was not only the highest point in Africa but also the highest freestanding mountain in the world!! However having had diabetes since the age of 10, I thought it was something I could only dream of.
